2008/09 SEASON

Once again, the Club enjoyed a very successful season. Our last race meeting on Easter Saturday was a fundraising day for the Healesville and Badger Creek CFA's. Gate takings for the day were split between the CFA's - each receiving $5000. The Club also donated $3000 to HICCI (local church groups who look after the disadvantaged). The Club also gave an admission ticket and lunch voucher to locals who had been affected by Black Saturday. Perfect weather made for a fantastic day. The crowd of over 3000, made up of mainly families, thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Easter Bunny also made a special appearance.

The Committee looks forward to another great season.

Our club operates to promote thoroughbred horse racing at the grass roots of the racing industry.

Our aim is to allow the general public to participate in thoroughbred horse racing in the relaxed atmosphere of picnic racing and to give all owners, trainers, riders and officials the opportunity to enjoy this sector of thoroughbred racing.

The intention is to continue to develop and maintain the Healesville racecourse and facilities and to provide community service plus the ongoing promotion of Healesville and the surrounding district.
